Mary M. Davis, JD, MEd, Chairperson, is an accomplished attorney and mediator. Mary has excellent communication and analytical skills with the demonstrated ability to identify key issues and facilitate solutions. She is known for her ability to attack complex tasks, reduce them to manageable parts and get them done. The Board is fortunate to be able to draw upon Mary to help tackle unique and challenging matters that rely on legal, technical, communication and people skills. She is also an active community volunteer.

Susan Larson, Vice-Chairperson, is Executive Vice President of FirstBank. During her 17 years with the bank in Fort Collins and Northern Colorado, she has had a wide variety of responsibilities including personnel and bank management as well as consumer and commercial lending. Susan is a past member of the board of directors for Project Self-Sufficiency and Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center and currently serves on the board for the Front Range Community College Foundation. Through Susan’s extensive mortgage lending experience and working with affordable housing and down payment assistance programs, she is aware of and concerned about the need for affordable housing options in our community.

Matt Robenalt, Immediate Past-Chairperson, is the Executive Director for the Downtown Development Authority and has 17 years of land redevelopment and community development experience. During his career he has been an environmental remediation consultant, co-owner of a downtown restaurant, a retail market analyst and a senior city planner. He believes that the provision of diverse, safe, affordable housing is an important component of a vibrant local economy.

Lisa Poppaw, Commissioner, is a member of the Fort Collins City Council and a strong supporter of accessible, safe, affordable housing. In addition to serving on numerous community boards, she is the City Council liaison to the Affordable Housing Board and the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Commission. During her time on the Council, Lisa's advocacy has resulted in CDBG funding for housing vouchers for the Community Dual Disorders Team program and additional affordable housing dollars being allocated in the City's 2008–2009 and 2010–2011 budgets. Her work is driven by the belief that housing is a fundamental human right.

John Sollenberger, Commissioner, is co-owner of Sollenberger Properties, a management company that owns and operates a portfolio of low-income apartment complexes in Colorado and California. He also owns a property maintenance and landscape company and holds a real estate broker’s license in the State of Colorado. John has served as President of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Council for Affordable Rural Housing and is a member of the Larimer County Food Bank Board of Directors. John is committed to finding new funding sources to address poverty and the need for housing assistance in our community.

Jenne Snelling, Commissioner (resident representative), has worked at the United Way of Larimer County as the 2-1-1 Call Center Manager for over five years. As a single mother of five children, Jenne knows how vital affordable housing is to families and their ability to become self-sufficient. Jenne is passionate about helping people find the resources they need to improve their lives and about doing her part to make our community a better place to live.

Cathy Mathis, Commissioner, is a project manager with The Birdsall Group, a Berthoud-based land planning / landscape architecture firm. She has close to 20 years of experience in land use planning in Northern Colorado and hopes that knowledge will be an asset to the future needs of the F.C.H.A. She also serves on the Chamber of Commerce’s Local Legislative Affairs Committee, and the Larimer County Partners Board of Directors. She is an active volunteer in the Poudre School District.

A Board of Commissioners appointed by the City Council is vested with leadership, advocacy, policy and fiscal responsibility for the Housing Authority.
